YES! I lost 2.4 pounds yesterday! Whoo! My consultant had to do the numbers three times to make sure she was correct because very seldom have I ever had that big of a weight loss in one week! Darn, taking away my condiments (ketchup, spray butter) and jello, coffee, and pop really has worked. I am just shocked because the week of Christmas is awful for weight loss. I guess that is what happens when I take my JC to every holiday meal! It actually paid off. The faster I can get rid of this baby weight the happier I'll be to go back on maintenance.
What's the difference between the Jenny foods and maintenance? The JC program for me, is a strict amount of calories that equals exactly 1200 for the day. For others, my maintenance diet in all my prior blogs to giving birth would most likely work for a woman of smaller stature that works out just mildly. This is because you most likely were used to over indulging somewhat and once you eat my maintenance diet you are getting fairly strict with measuring things according to serving size, which means much smaller portions, and watching sodium, sugar, fat, and calorie intake. I was basically still doing my maintenance diet during pregnancy because it's become a way of life for me. That's what makes Jenny and how they teach you about maintenance to be a life-long, lasting change. However, after giving birth I needed a "jump start" with strict calorie intake to get things going again.
